this costume is very, very cute, but not sized properly. bought a small for my 5 year old grand daughter (wears a size 4) and it was too small. So I bought a medium and WAAAAAAAAAAY too big. Ended up fitting my 8 year old grand daughter that wears a 7.

The tail, which makes this costume very cute, drags in front of the child's feet and creates a trip hazard. My daughter is 5 years old, weighs 40 lbs. and is a bit under 4' tall. I bought a medium so it would not be skin tight on her, but I had to cut off almost 15" of material and resew the tail on higher! I guess it is better than I could have sewn from scratch, but I wish I didn't have to spend $[...] and then alter it! It is a really cute costume, though.
